Temperance Meeting in Cavendish

Linda Welch, the CHS genealogist, recently sent the following: I found an old "Blotter" newspaper in the H B Atherton papers I am working on and I wanted to send you this article. Practically the whole town of Cavendish belonged to the TEMPERANCE Society. (except for the immigrant population that worked in the mills, and the poor farmers, etc.)
