One of Craig's Plant Lists |
Since it was started, the plant sale was always the Saturday before the 4th of July. This past year, we discovered that with the Town Garage fire (Feb. 2017), the Museum's water supply was adversely impacted. Basically, we no longer have water at the Museum.
As the expression goes, "Vermont has two seasons, winter and the 4th of July."
Last year, the plant sale weekend was incredibly hot and it was very hard to keep our plants watered. The decision was made to avoid that by switching the weekend to the Saturday of Memorial Day, which many think of as the planting weekend anyway.
To that end CHS’s annual plant sale will take place on May 25, Saturday, from 9-2 in front of the Museum (Route 131 in Cavendish).
We are compiling our list of plants and will be adding information daily. Some plants can be pre ordered including the tomato plants.
If
you have plants you would like to donate to the sale, please call 802-226-7807
